French Fitness Bumper Plates are made of recycled materials and durable Stainless Steel bushing. Thinner than most bumper plates, these sturdy plates allow users to load more weight on bars and weight carriage systems. French Fitness plate collar is inset from the plane of the plate which allows better protection when several plates are on the rim reducing the risk of impact.

Does French Fitness Olympic Bumper Plates - Crumb Rubber have a rubber odor / smell?
All French Fitness Dumbbells, Olympic Plates, & Flooring, will have a rubber smell when you take them out of the box. This subsides over the coming weeks. We rarely receive complaints regarding the rubber smell, but it has happened. We advise customers to give it 2-3 weeks, and the rubber smell will fade away. The reason is that these items are new in factory boxes and have likely been in those boxes for months. Once they are opened, you may notice the rubber smell, but if they've been on a rack for more than 2-3 weeks, the smell will go away.
