Tim French, CEO of Fitness Superstore Inc., began selling fitness equipment in 2003 out of his parents’ garage
2003
Fitness Superstore officially launched and later became an S-Corp, changing its legal name to Fitness Superstore Inc. in 2013.
2010
Following the success of Fitness Superstore, Tim built his own brand of gym equipment called French Fitness, which was launched in 2019. We also opened a second location in Stockton, CA.
2019
French Fitness saw incremental growth and we introduced our pioneer product, the FSR90, which is our top-selling machine to date.
2020
This year, celebrated reaching 10 million in sales. We also expanded the French Fitness product line with the Diablo, FFB Black, FFS Silver, Marin, Napa, Shasta, and Tahoe—now staples in gyms of all sizes, from commercial and government facilities to home setups.
2021
This year marked another milestone for the company, announcing the soft opening of French Fitness HQ - a 40,000 sq ft warehouse, which includes a 4,400 sq foot showroom dedicated to the French Fitness brand. The warehouse is located at 457 Industrial Way, Benicia, CA- a 3-minute drive from Fitness Superstore Inc., streamlining all our business transactions in the area.
2023
We have officially moved from our Stockton location to French Fitness HQ, consolidating our inventory for French Fitness and Fitness Superstore into our two Benicia locations.
2024
With ambitions for continued growth, we are dedicated to enhancing our quality control processes and customer service. We are expanding our market presence and taking steps to achieve ISO 9001 certification. We are in the process of migrating to a newer, more robust website to better serve our customers.
